In studio classes on Tuesdays have resumed but the Zoom lessons are on pause this year while other projects are happening.
You can now study at your own pace and time with her new online pastel classes.
Pastel CLASSES with Lyn
Lyn shares her methods and shows you how.
The why is just as important as the how.

-STUDIO:- Mornington - Private Studio at 77A Barkly St.
Lyn will illustrate the method and the reason or steps involved, for each painting and will be there with you to discuss any issues that you encounter and/or individual assessment along the way and at the lesson's end.
The morning class is pastel only and the afternoon class students work in either oil paint or soft pastel or if attending for the full day may complete the painting started in the morning's class.

Once again Lyn Mellady will be one of the tutors for this event. Thanks to overwhelmingly positive feedback from those who attended the 2018 Australian Pastel Expo, the Pastel Society of Australia announces that Expo is returning to the Sunshine Coast’s Caloundra Exhibition Centre
There are many and varied demonstrations, workshops and activities to inspire and stimulate your pastel journey.
The Australian Pastel Expo is the nation’s only major gathering of pastel artists, teachers, enthusiasts, students, suppliers and people discovering the medium for the first time – held over four days.

Course description
Two art tutors
Level:- For artists with some degree of proficiency in their medium. (pastel/acrylic/watercolour)
Why venture out into the real world? Is it a venture or adventure?
There are many popular art tours happening all over the world offering to enrich the travel and share the experience of painting together.
This workshop is for artists who are uncomfortable with the concept of painting on site.
They may feel exposed, inadequate or simply frustrated with their results. Or maybe they just want to feel prepared.
This is time to learn how to choose, set up and capture the scene.
Lyn will demonstrate. We will paint on site in the morning then bring the work back to the studio each day
to assess results and decide what the next step might be and possibilities of improving.
It will aim to sharpen your decisions in all stages and allow you to relax with the process.
The afternoons will spring from the morning’s painting.— what is the next step? We will all possibly have a different ‘next step’.
Lyn Mellady and Julie Goldspink will take this course and split to a max no 5 people in a group
$250 for 3 days
